At Trauma Touch Seattle, Zest(he/him) specializes in helping release trauma stored in the body and relieving the effects it has on the body through Massage Therapy, Trauma Touch Therapy™, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage in a safe and empowering environment. He also utilizes his range of services to support trans folks at every stage of their journey, helping with understanding and managing the physiological, somatic, and emotional impacts of the trans experience.
Trauma Touch Therapy™
BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN MIND AND BODY HEALING
Trauma Touch Therapy™ is a somatic based, noninvasive, client centered body work modality. An unhurried process, allowing for a gradual, integrative release of tension, buried traumas, and pent-up emotions. The intention of this 10-session series is to empower the client, create a safe environment for boundaries to develop, reintegrate the body and mind, and restore losses as a result of trauma.
Massage Therapy
FIND SAFETY IN TOUCH
Massage addresses the physical impacts of trauma by helping to relieve pain, increase circulation, and relax muscle tension. Physiologically, massage also helps minimize the fight or flight stress response by decreasing the stress hormone cortisol and increasing positive hormones like serotonin and dopamine making navigating daily life much easier. Whether aiding in pain relief or managing symptoms of auto-immune disease, I am adept at tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs.
Manual
Lymphatic Drainage
FOR AFFIRMATIVE CARE AND PHYSICAL TRAUMA
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is used in my practice to address physiological side effects of trauma as well as aiding in nervous system regulation as needed. This includes autoimmune diseases such as reoccurring edema (swelling), Fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and celiac disease among others. MLD has been shown to decrease symptoms and increase the quality of life of those suffering from immune, autoimmune, and even thyroid disorders. MLD is also an effective solution for pre and post surgical care, helping to promote a more smooth and comfortable healing while minimizing scar tissue.
“Trauma Touch Therapy™ offers a profound and effective way of addressing trauma by honoring the body’s innate wisdom and capacity for healing.”
